The HBS journey began in 2005 when Eric Hansen pulled together a team to update the most iconic property in Saint Joseph, Michigan.

The Whitcomb Hotel had once been the epitome of luxury resorts in Southwest Michigan. Guests included Dr. John Harvey Kellogg (the cereal magnate) and even President Teddy Roosevelt! Unfortunately, it seemed the property's best days had passed. 

The HBS team purchased the property in 2006 and injected new life and capital into the history building. Today, the Whitcomb is the standard in Independent Living in Southwest Michigan and is a thriving part of the St. Joe community.

The HBS team has used that same desire to create lasting change in all of their investments.
